Cooperation with the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences

On the 3rd of May 2018, GEI and the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences signed a cooperation agreement to further promote educational exchanges, research projects, joint degree programs and other educational ventures between the United States and China.

It was agreed that students from the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences would be given an opportunity to continue their education at one of the GEI’s partner universities. Both institutions will work closely to develop new programs between China and the United States with the aim of providing more overseas educational opportunities to local students and academic exchanges between researches and experts. During the meeting both parties also decided to jointly promote Tulane University’s Master of Finance program in China.

Moreover, the delegates exchanged information about scientific and educational trends in their countries and identified areas for further cooperation.

The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) is the leading academic institution and a comprehensive research center in the fields of philosophy and social sciences in China. CASS is in charge of more than 90 research centers, 105 national academic communities and one graduate school (Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Sciences). One of its main goals is to provide local scholars and students with quality education overseas. To fulfill this goal, CASS cooperates with over 200 research organizations, academic communities, institutions of higher learning, foundations and related government departments from more than 80 countries.
