Welcome Beijing Education Committee Delegation

On November 4, 2013, The Beijing Education Commission delegation started a three-week training in North Carolina, U.S. The main focus of the training was to: (a) introduce the American education system at the K-12 and higher levels; (b) discuss how the American educational institutes at these different levels initiate, promote, and enhance globalization; and (c) discuss the roles and functions of the federal and state government in education globalization. GEI invited experts from different areas including governors, administrators, and educational scholars to provide lectures covering a wide range of topics. During this three-week training, the delegation members gained a better and more well rounded picture of the American education system. What’s more important, it had paved the way for educators from both countries to develop partnerships to strengthen collaboration efforts in the development of each country’s education.
